Open communication is the key to a healthy connection between you and your child/ren. Building and maintaining such a connection can be difficult, especially since parents must deal with multiple other pressures. Parents who are experiencing problems parenting their child, such as: repetitive arguments, feeling disconnected, or have pervasive feelings of anger related to their child can benefit from consulting with Dr. Rogers.

Be it the parent or the child (or both!) with ADHD, Rogers Therapy, PLLC regularly works with families, parent/child relationships/sibling relations, etc. Frequently, a combination of therapy, coaching, and fitness training are key to developing more positive and meaningful interactions.

Second families or blended families frequently experience a period of adjustment that can be quite tumultuous, but if discord continues for an extended period of time, parents can benefit from exploring the situation with Dr. Rogers. Parents that enter a marriage with children from a previous relationship face many challenges, and psychotherapy can help the individual parent or all the parents involved successfully overcome these challenges. Common issues for second family parents include: conflicts about financial matters, housing issues, unresolved feelings of anger and hurt, establishing the stepparent’s role, and power struggles.
